About San Patricio Pipeline | Information Postings | Energy Links | Contact Us |
Currently in the development stage, San Patricio Pipeline will be capable of transporting up to one billion standard cubic feet (Bscf) of natural gas per day. When completed, the pipeline will originate from the Ingleside Energy Center (IEC) LNG Terminal, and will connect with numerous interstate and intrastate pipelines to deliver clean-burning regasified LNG from IEC to major gas consuming regions in the United States and Mexico. The interconnected pipeline system is intended to provide gas supplies to local distribution companies, electric generation facilities and industrial end users. San Patricio Pipeline is designed to deliver a new source of natural gas to help meet growing U.S. and Mexican demand with minimal impact on surrounding communities and the environment. San Patricio Pipeline received its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on July 22, 2005, and plans for project construction are currently underway. |
